A group of prominent African-American business leaders decided it was important for our youth to see and talk about the movie Selma. So they joined forces and raised funds to sponsor 27,000 students in New York to see the powerful film, Selma. Their initiative started a movement across the nation that put in a “call to action” for other African-Americans and organizations to step up and sponsor students to see this amazing film. Now, numerous cities are sponsoring student tickets.
In Chicago, After School Matters will be sponsoring 10,000 students tickets. Check the link for more information on how to obtain your ticket. For a list of the participating cities and theaters, click HERE. For information on group sales, click HERE. Will you join the movement?
