REVIEW: Annie Movie

by Dawj Sangster– Get ready for an amazing journey of laughter, shouting, cheering and maybe a tear or two for the new Annie movie! I did not know I would enjoy this movie as much as I did. It is really an edge of your seat movie where you cheer for the “underdog” and find some good in people considered “bad”.

The move stars Quvenzhane Wallis as Annie, a beautiful little foster girl who wants so desperately to find her biological parents, while staying in a home with several other girls and a mean Foster mom, played by Cameron Diaz. During the movie, Annie captures the heart of Jamie Foxx, who plays a businessman running for Mayor of the city. He wants to boost his winning chances so he agrees to take in Annie for a while and show his love for children. But during this process, he discovered more about love, friendship, family and humanity. Annie stole his heart and ours as well with her humor, charm, singing and fun personality! The full Cast includes: Jamie Foxx (Will Stacks), Quvenzhane Wallis (Annie), Cameron Diaz (Miss Hannigan), Rose Byrne (Grace), Bobby Cannavale (Guy), David Zayas (Lou) and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Nash). The movie was directed by Will Gluck.
